The marketing campaign for the upcoming Star Wars spinoff Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is continuing to ramp up to the film’s release which is just over a week away. Lucasfilm has released another international trailer for the standalone feature which follows a ragtag team of rebel spies as they infiltrate the Empire and steal the plans for the Empire’s superweapon, the Death Star.
The new trailer offers a few glimpses of never before seen footage featuring Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and Chirrut Îmwe (Donnie Yen) as well as a squad of rebel soldiers as they make their assault on the Imperial base in the climactic battle on Scarif.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters December 16, 2016.
Produced by Lucasfilm, the film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelson, Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker with a script penned by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy, directed by Garreth Edwards.
From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction.
