The upcoming live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell starring Scarlett Johansson is only a few short months away and it’s time for the marketing campaign to start ramping up to the film’s release. Paramount has released an international trailer for the film which is essentially a remix of the US trailer with a few bits of new footage offering glimpses of The Major in action as well as a shot of her creation from the opening titles of the film. I can’t help but still be so impressed by Rupert Sanders as he looks to have crafted an extraordinary vision that remains completely faithful to the anime.
The film stars Scarlett Johannson, Pilou Asbæk, Michael Pitt, Juliette Binoche, Kaori Momoi, Rila Fukushima, Chin Han, Danusia Samal, Lasarus Ratuere, Yutaka Izumihara, and Tuwanda Manyimo. Written by Jamie Moss. Directed by Rupert Sanders.
Ghost in the Shell hits theaters March 31, 2017.
