Are you aching to see more footage from the upcoming Star Wars spinoff, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ahead of its release? You’ll have your chance on November 24, at 8 pm. ET/PT on ABC during the Disney Magical Holiday Celebration which will feature appearances by Kelly Clarkson, Garth Brooks, and Trisha Yearwood. The celebration will be hosted by Derek and Julianne Hough.
Sometime during the show, we will get an exclusive look at Rogue One in what will most likely be a very short featurette offering a few glimpses of new footage interlaced with interviews from the cast.
The film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelson, Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker with a script penned by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy, directed by Garreth Edwards.
From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.
