‘Rogue One’: TV Spot “Together” Inspires Hope in Dark Times

Hold on to your butts. It’s finally November and with Doctor Strange out of the way, the marketing campaign for the first Star Wars spin-off feature film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is now in full effect as we ramp up to the film’s release next month on December 16th. Today Lucasfilm released the first official TV spot for the film and it manages to inspire hope in all of us Star Wars fans , leaving us salivating for more. December can’t some soon enough.

The film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelson, Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk,  Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker with a script penned by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy, directed by Garreth Edwards.

Don’t forget we will also get a sneak peek at the film during the Disney Holiday Celebration on November 24, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves. In theaters December 2016.
