‘The Flash’: “The Monster” Extended Preview

Last nights episode of The Flash introduced us to an Earth 19 Harrison Wells dubbed “HR”, or as I called him in my review, Tom Cavanaugh. HR seemed equally as humourous as Harry but with without the snarky attitude. While Cisco and Caitlin instantly took a liking to him, Harry was immediately distrusting in what seemed like jealousy but was all too obvious of a misdirect.

In a promo released by The CW, Cisco has begun to grow suspicious of HR just as a mysterious meta-human monster goes on a rampage in Central City.

The synopsis for the episode also reveals that Dr. Caitlin Snow will reach out to her mother for help after her newfound powers have begun to manifest in unexpected and uncontrollabe ways.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

CAITLIN CALLS ON HER MOTHER FOR HELP WITH HER GROWING META POWERS — Desperate to understand what is happening to her, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) visits her mother, Dr. Tannhauser (guest star Susan Walters), a renowned biomedical researcher, in the hopes that her mother can provide some answers about Caitlin’s growing meta-human powers.

However, when Dr. Tannhauser treats her daughter like a test subject, Caitlin grows cold and brings up past wounds causing the two to have a major blowout. Meanwhile, after a mysterious new meta-human attacks Central City, Barry (Grant Gustin) tries to convince Julian (Tom Felton) to let him assist on the case.

The iconic tick tock is almost back. Fox dropped a brand new trailer for the upcoming reboot of 24 titled 24: Legacy starring Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton) during Game 1 of the World Series tonight.

The trailer manages to capture the pulse-pounding flavor of the original series while at the same time freshening it up for 2017 with the music. Visually things look to be pretty close to the original, maintaining the claustrophobic close-ups but what seems to be missing are the shots peeking around corners, or through obstructions making us feel like we are witnessing something we shouldn’t be seeing. Time will tell if the reboot will manage to capture the flavor of 24 or stand on its own as something new as 24: Legacy.

The clock resets Sunday, February 5th after the Superbowl.

A military hero who returns to the U.S. with a whole lot trouble following him back. With nowhere else to turn, the man asks CTU to help him save his life while also stopping one of the largest-scale terror attacks on American soil.

Incredible Fan Made ‘Rogue One’ Super Trailer

Science vs. Cinema has put together an incredible six-minute supercut featuring footage from every Rogue One trailer released thus far.

Science vs. Cinema has put together an incredible six-minute supercut featuring footage from every Rogue One trailer released thus far.

I feel like I have seen the entire movie at this point but anyone who still has doubts about the film because of the infamous reshoots should watch this. The supercut gives you a sense of how the film is going to flow — almost beat for beat in the scene where Jyn Erso is briefed on her Father’s involvement with the creation of the original Death Star. Bottom line: it looks absolutely incredible. Garreth Edwards seems to have made something worthy of being not just the first spin-off, but the backstory detailed in the opening crawl of A New Hope as well.

It’s fan made though so don’t expect a high production value. Some of the editing is a bit wonky as it’s cutting together scenes from multiple trailers into one but it’s easily forgivable. Prepare for your mind to be blown.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters December 16, 2016.
