During tonight’s 74th Annual Golden Globes, Disney dropped a new TV spot for the upcoming live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast featuring more of Emma Watson singing as Belle and it sounds absolutely fantastic. I truly believe Alan Menken is going to outdo his original score for the animated classic with the new version he has made for this remake.
Beauty and the Beast hitstheaters March 17, 2017.
The film stars Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as the Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad as Le Fou, Ewan McGregor as Lumière, Sir Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Kevin Kline as Belle’s father Maurice, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, with a script penned by Evan Spiliotopoulos and Stephen Chbosky, directed by Bill Condor.
In this live-action re-imagining of the fairy tale, a young woman (Emma Watson) takes her father’s place as prisoner in a beast’s castle, only to fall in love with her beastly captor (Dan Stevens), who turns out to be a prince.
The marketing campaign for Beauty and the Beast is starting to ramp up to the films the release and the more we see from the film, the more everything in this live-action remake looks perfect. Well, everything except for the Beast’s face. Hopefully, the animation in the finished film will be better because right now it just looks downright weird and cartoonish.
The latest tv spot focuses on the Beast’s charm and what he must do to woo Belle into falling in love with him in order to break the spell.

Several new TV spots for the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story have hit the web. They will all no doubt get your blood pumping for what will be the Rebel Alliance’s first win against the Galactic Empire but one of the spots stands out in particular.
In spot #26, what is technically the 15-second “In 10 Days” spot, a shot of the Rebel fleet reveals a ship that fans of the animated DisneyXD series Star Wars Rebels will recognize as a VCX-100 light freighter, A.K.A. The Ghost.
For those who don’t watch Rebels, the series follows a group of heroic smugglers part of the Rebellions Phoenix Squadron. Led by a Twi’lek named Hera Syndulla who was compelled to fight against the Empire as well as a Jedi Knight who survived Order 66 named Caleb Dume. After surviving the purge, Caleb changed his name to Kanan Jarrus and abandoned the ways of the force to maintain a low profile in the galaxy until he met Hera and re-embraced the force, becoming the hero he was destined to be.
Seeing the Ghost in live-action, as well as the inclusion of Saw Gerrera (Forest Whitaker) from the Clone Wars series officially bridges the films to the animated series in canon. Solidifying the entire Star Wars universe.
But will we see the Ghost crew in Rogue One? I think it’s highly doubtful as it would be problematic. I’m not saying it’s impossible, but fitting the entire crew into the film seems like a lot to pack in. It could also alienate general audiences who aren’t aware of who the characters are. Lastly, it would reveal the fate of the characters in the series. As of now, the current plot of Rebels is taking place about two years before the events of Rogue One.
The other spots also give us a glimpse at some Y-wings that are included in the Battle of Scarif as well as some more hilarious dialog from K-2SO on Jedha.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters December 16th.
The film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelson, Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. Written by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy. Directed by Gareth Edwards.
From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves. In theaters December 2016.
In the midst of junkets, clips, and featurettes Lucasfilm has dropped another TV spot for the upcoming Star Wars spin-off Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The spot captures the hope Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) inspires in the Rebel Alliance as they take on the Empire in an effort to prevent it from cementing it’s grip on the Galaxy for good with the galactic superweapon, the Death Star.

It looks as if Darth Vader might not be the only major villain making an appearance in the upcoming Star Wars spin-off Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The latest TV spot titled “Breath” offers an interesting shot from behind an Imperial Officer overlooking the dish of the Death Star as it is being placed into the battle station. The character appears to be Grand Moff Tarkin himself.
The actor who originally portrayed Tarkin, Peter Cushing, passed away in 1994 due to prostate cancer. Since Cushing’s death, Tarkin has only appeared in The Clone Wars series and Star Wars novels (both EU and new canon). But considering Tarkin was charged with oversight of the Death Star per Emperor Palpatine, it wouldn’t make sense for Tarkin not to appear in Rogue One.
There have been rumors of Tarkin appearing as a CG character, but it’s also possible Lucasfilm could have cast another actor to portray the Grand Moff. In Revenge of the Sith, the character was portrayed by actor Wayne Pygram. It would come as no great surprise if Pygram reprised his role as he wouldn’t be the only classic character returning in Rogue One played by a new actor.
Actress Genevieve O’Reilly is reprising her role as Mon Motha, the political leader of the rebellion. O’Reilly first appeared in Revenge of the Sith as a younger version of the character who was originally introduced in Return of the Jedi, portrayed by actress Caroline Blakiston. O’Reilly’s portrayal of the character seen in the trailers so far has been uncanny. It’s incredible how she not only looks exactly like Blakiston but sounds like her as well. If Rogue One were to bring back Pygram as Tarkin, it’s possible Lucasfilm could bring on voice actor Stephen Stanton who lent his talents to the character in The Clone Wars animated series. Stanton manages to sound identical to Cushing while not delivering an impression.
Lucasfilm hasn’t confirmed that the character is indeed Tarkin, but given the deliberate placement of the tantalizing image in the new spot, I would be willing to bet the officer seen overlooking the placement of the dish is Tarkin himself. We’ll know soon enough.

The day has finally come! Pre-sale tickets for the upcoming Star Wars spin-off Rogue One: A Star Wars Story are now available. To celebrate, Lucasfilm dropped another TV spot right at midnight officially announcing the availability of pre-sale tickets. Chances are if you are reading this, tickets have already sold out in your area.
The latest TV spot gives us new glimpses of the Death Star, what appears to be the destruction of Jedha, and new shots from the climactic battle on Scariff. The presence of Vader looms over the spot with the sound of his breath coming from his respirator. It all leads up to the screams of war followed by a hammering version of the Imperial March.
This weekend also saw the confirmation of the film’s runtime at 133 minutes via Lucasfilm creative executive Pablo Hidalgo. The film falls right in the middle of runtimes for Star Wars films. Episodes IV-VI clocked in at 121, 124, and 131 minutes. The prequel trilogy ran slightly longer with runtimes for Episodes I-III at 133, 142, and 140 minutes. Episode VII, the first film in this new era of Star Wars, had a runtime of 135 minutes.

The marketing campaign for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is in full swing. Yesterday the official press tour for the upcoming Star Wars spin-off began in Mexico with a press conference featuring director Garreth Edwards and the leads of the film, Felicity Jones and Diego Luna. Jones describes how the set managed to have an intimate feel even with the scope and scale of a Star Wars film, not to mention the pressure of being the first standalone feature in the franchise.
Today Lucasfilm has released two new TV spots for the upcoming Star Wars spin-off. The spot titled “Time to Fight” offers a new glimpse of the epic climactic battle on Scarrif and has a different delivery of the already iconic line “I rebel” from Jones as Jyn Erso.
The second spot “Contact” dives into the relationship between Jyn and her father Galen (Mads Mikkelsen), clueing us a bit more into the history between the two. Check out the spots and the full press conference below!

The force is strong with the marketing push for the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Lucasfilm is dropping one TV spot after another right now. This morning two new spots hit the web. Each putting the spotlight on the friendships between the heroes of the Rogue One team. First up is “Jyn & Cassian” which offers a look at the bravery the two unlikely heroes possess. The second spot released titled “Protect” showcases footage from previously trailers but gives us a bit more of when Baze fires his rocket launcher at an AT-ACT. The spot also features a quick beat that displays the hilarious dynamic between Chirrut and Baze.

The latest TV spot for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story offers a few glimpses at new footage but offers nothing substantial. What’s important about this spot is that it reveals the film has been officially rated PG-13. Considering this is supposed to be a war film and a darker entry into the Star Wars franchise it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. This marks the third Star Wars film to be rated PG-13 along with Revenge of the Sith and The Force Awakens.
Pre-sale tickets have yet to become available but I would be ready at the computer on November 24, at 8 pm. ET/PT. During the Disney Magical Holiday Celebration on ABC, we will get an exclusive look at Rogue One in what will most likely be a very short featurette offering a few glimpses of new footage interlaced with interviews from the cast. Chances are tickets will go on sale then as it would be a perfect opportunity to make the announcement while families are together celebrating Thanksgiving.

In addition to the featurette released by Lucasfilm today for the upcoming Rogue One: A Star WarsStory, two new TV spots from Japan have hit the web. Each of them serves to spotlight Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) and Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) individually. While there is no new footage in the spots, nor do we learn anything new about Jyn, the spot for Cassian offers some new insight into his character as a recruiter for the Rebel Alliance.
Along with the new TV spots, two new posters have also made their way online this week including an official IMAX poster as well as an exclusive poster from Dolby Cinemas which was originally released as the Russian poster for the film.
