‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ Gives Spidey Suit an Upgrade

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD.

The trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming is currently looming over the internet. The trailer which is attached to the upcoming Star Wars spin-off Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is expected to hit the web before Rogue One hits theaters onDecember 16^th. But ahead of the trailer, Marvel casually unveiled a clip from the film at the CCXP convention in Brazil.

In attendance was Marvel Digital Media Vice President and Executive Editor Ryan Pengos who took to twitter to give fans a description of the clip that was shown

The Spider-Man Homecoming footage was short but AWESOME. Starts from Spidey’s POV, talking with Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau). There’s a case from Tony Stark with an “upgrade” for Spidey. Then we see Spidey leap off a building, open his arms, web wings! There were a few more flashes of shots, but I can’t remember. That classic underarm webbing look was just so rad.

Considering the latest design of the Spidey suit is the closest we have seen to the original incarnation crafted by Steve Ditko, it would come as no great surprise if the new film gives Spidey his web wings which were first seen when Spider-Man made his very first debut in Amazing Fantasy #15.
