The second international trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has arrived. The trailer reveals actress Valene Kane (The Fall) as Lyra Erso, the mother of the film’s protagonist, Jyn Erso played by actress Felicity Jones. Lyra will also be featured in the upcoming Rogue One prequel novel, Catalyst: A Rogue One Novel set to hit shelves on November 15th.

In addition to Lyra Erso, the trailer all but confirms that the planet of Jedha, the Mecca for the Jedi religion in the Star Wars Universe, may actually be the first planet destroyed by the Death Star rather than Alderaan. But there has to be more than meets the eye because of it is true, it would completely contradict Grand Moff Tarkin’s words when he told Princess Leia that Alderaan would be the first planet destroyed by the superweapon. Jedha also looks to be destroyed much more slowly than Alderaan was which was obliterated in an instant so it’s possible this is an early weapons test before the station was fully operational.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters December 16, 2016.

Produced by Lucasfilm, the film stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Mads Mikkelson, Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk,  Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker with a script penned by Chris Weitz and Tony Gilroy, directed by Garreth Edwards.
